Iran-Sudan Agro Co-op Will Expand

Tehran, June 25, IRNA – Agriculture Jihad Minister Mahmoud Hojjati on Tuesday called for exploring new capacities for cooperation between Iran and Sudan and removal of obstacles in the way of trade and commerce. In a meeting with Sudanese Minister of Labor and Human Resources Eshraqeh Seyyed Mahmoud, he said that Iran has made good progress in various agricultural sections, especially in the field of modern irrigation methods, and is ready to make its experience available to Sudan. Stressing the need for the implementation of the cooperation agreements signed earlier, Hojjati called for holding Iran-Sudan Joint Commission session at the earliest. Sudanese minister, Seyyed Mahmoud, for her part, hailed Iranˈs achievements in the field of agriculture, saying that his country needs to use advanced technology in agriculture. She said that technical and vocational education can serve as an area of cooperation between Iran and Sudan.
