Iran-Tajikistan Call For More Economic Co-op

Dushanbe, April 20, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Hamrokhan Zarifi and Iranˈs Deputy Foreign Minister Behrouz Kamalvandi underlined development of economic cooperation between the two countries. According to the report of Iranˈs embassy in Dushanbe, in the meeting, Kamalvandi described bilateral ties between Iran and Tajikistan in the highest level and said that considering many commonalities in language, religion and culture, existing capacities should be used for developing ties. Iranˈs Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali Asghar Shaˈr-doust said that 163 documents have been signed in different sections between the two countries. Zarifi, for his part, underlined promotion of relations between the two countries and said that Iran has implemented many projects in Tajikistan and is known as Tajikistan important trade partner in the region and world. Also in a separate meeting, Kamalvandi signed several memoranda of Understanding with Tajikistan Deputy Foreign Minister Zahedov in the future cooperation. Kamalvandi during his 2-day trip to Tajikistan is to visit different projects here which is being constructed by Iran./end
