Iran Trade Covers 134 Countries: Tehran Governor General

Tehran, July 29, IRNA -- Iranian trade covers 134 countries, Tehran Governor General Morteza Tammadon said on Saturday. 1,115 businessmen are involved in export of 1,640 items of goods to 134 countries. Talking to reporters, he added that Tehran province’s exports excluding technical and engineering services stood at dlrs 2.5 billion last year, coming next to Bushehr province as the first thanks to its petrochemical industries. The exports are projected to experience an increase of 20 percent in the current Iranian year (started March 20), he said. Tehran province exports mainly included automobiles, carpets and foodstuffs, Tammadon said, noting that some 50 billion Tomans prizes were paid to exporters in a bid to promote exports./end
