Iran Wants To Enchance Energy Cooperation With Indonesia

JAKARTA, Oct 18 (Antara) - Iranian Ambassador to Indonesia Valiollah Mohammadi said here on Monday that both countries can explore cooperation in the energy sector that is much more extensive than the current level. "Both countries can determine to maximize and extend the cooperation in the energy sector," Ambassador Mohammadi stated here on Monday. He added that was less than satisfied with the existing level of cooperation, and it needed to be improved in the near future. "The relations between Indonesia and Iran have been moving forward. However, looking at the potential of both the countries, we are not fully pleased with what has been achieved so far," the ambassador stressed. He hoped that both the countries will further strengthen their bilateral relations in order to expand the economic sector on each side. Economic cooperation between Indonesia and Iran is still being explored, including in the field of energy, covering oil and gas. It also covers the LPG supply from Iran and a pre-study for developing two oil wells in Iran, conducted by the Indonesian oil and gas company, Pertamina, and the National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC).
