Iran Welcomes Compatriots Investment In Domestic Projects

Tehran, July 6, IRNA – Iran tries to persuade foreign based compatriots to invest in domestic projects, deputy minister of economic affairs and finance said Saturday. Behrouz Alishiri made the announcement while speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a meeting of the Organization for Investment and Economic and Technical Assistance of Iran. Alishiri said participants in the meeting have confirmed eight projects to be carried out by foreign based Iranians including projects in mining, paint industry, handicrafts and manufacture of laser printers. One of the projects to be implemented by Iranian compatriots is production of laser printers which would stop their imports. Alishiri added that implementation of those projects would help increase governmentˈs income, promote income distribution and transfer of technology. It will also help increase employment, promote exports and improve quality of domestic products, said the official./end
