Iran, Worldˈs 1st Owner Of Zinc Mines : Official

Isfahan, July 8, IRNA – President of Isfahanˈs Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Mines Khosrow Kasaian said Sunday evening that Iran ranked first in possessing worldˈs zinc resources. Addressing a local ceremony in this ancient central province, Kasaian said Iran has globally stood at the second and third places respectively for having the worldˈs biggest gas and oil reserves. The official stressed all advanced and developed states needed Iranˈs resources as the country possessed over seven percent of the worldˈs mine resources while it formed only one percent of the worldˈs population. He added Tehran should be vigilant against plans of the hegemonic powers as they were to get easy access to Iranˈs rich resources.
