Iranian Businessmen Actively Participating In Kashghar Commercial Exhibit

Beijing, June 30, IRNA – A number of Iranian businessmen are participating in China Commercial and Trade Exhibition which kicked off in Kashghar, located in northwestern China, on Thursday. A total of 10,000 merchants and a number of representatives from the international trade organizations are present in the five-day event. Organizers of the exhibition have put the value of the agreements to be signed on the sidelines of the event at $6.3 billion, registering an increase of 20 percent compared to the figure for the past year. Iran is also to attend the First Seminar on Economic Cooperation between the Central Asian and South Asian States to be held on the sidelines of the ongoing exhibit. The participants are to discuss development of Kashghar Economic Zone. The exhibition, which hae been held annually since 2005, is considered one of the Chinese most significant economic and commercial events. The volume of Iran-China trade exchanges hit $45 billion and it is projected to reach $55 billion this year./end
