Iranian Delegation Planning Turkey Visit To Talk On Joint Border Industrial Township

Ankara, Nov 5, IRNA – The deputy minister of industry, mine and trade will arrive in Turkey Monday at the head of a delegation to hold talks with Turkish officials on setting up a joint border industrial township. Fakhrollah Molaei and his accompanying delegation on their three-day visit will hold the final round of talks to that effect with their Turkish counterparts. Molaei, who doubles as the managing director of the Organization for Small Industries and Industrial Townships, has earlier announced final agreement on 'Sarisou' and 'Gorbulag' as the zones for setting up industrial townships. Stating that the establishment of industrial townships is cost-effective, he added that Iran and Turkey enjoy broad political and cultural ties and existing capacities require further collaboration between the two states. Facilitating production and exchange of commodities, cutting transportation costs, creating joint brand for products, promoting security and developing the region are among the objectives behind the project./end
