Iranian private sector to establish tiles and ceramics production unit in Uzbekistan

TEHRAN,Nov.4(MNA) - An Iranian private company will invest $12 million to establish a tiles and ceramics production unit in Uzbekistan in 2013. The company started building the production unit in September, IRNA cited Uzbek news sources as saying. The unit is projected to produce two million cubic meters of tiles and ceramics per year. On October 1, Iran Trade Promotion Organization director Hamid Safdel offered to create joint Iranian-Uzbek Commerce Chamber to boost trade-economic between two states. Iran and Uzbekistan has great opportunities on transit transportation and Iran hopes that use of North-South transit route with the participation of Iran, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Oman and Qatar will allow realizing existing potential, Safdel said.
