Iran's Gas Production Capacity To Be Doubled By Next Three Years : Minister

Sari, Mazandaran Prov, Dec 30, IRNA – Oil Minister Rostam Qasemi said Sunday that Iran's gas production capacity will be doubled in next three years. Addressing inauguration ceremony of a gas project in this northern province, Qasemi said the country will produce 1.4 billion cubic meters of gas in the next three years, adding the figure is twice more than the present gas production capacity. Qasemi further said Iran has also held talks with the neighboring states on exports of oil to them. Today, he added, 70 to 80 percent of equipment needed for petrochemical and oil industries are produced inside the country./end
