Iran's Non-oil Exports Exceeds $31b

Tehran, Dec 30, IRNA - Non-oil exports exceeded dlrs 31.7 billion in the past nine months of the Iranian year, it was announced on Saturday. According to Iranian Customs office, during the period some dlrs 40 billion worth of goods were imported to the country registering a 10.54 percent decline compared to the preceding term. It said that the amount of imports stood at 29,880,000 tons in the period registering 12 percent growth in terms of weight compared to the corresponding period last year. Non-oil exports excluding gas condensate reached dlrs 24.14 billion registering four percent growth. Iran's major imports were from the United Arab Emirates: 20 percent, China: 15 percent, Turkey: nine percent, South Korea: 8.9 percent and Switzerland: six percent. The non-oil exports in the period were destined to Iraq, China, UAE, Afghanistan and India./end
