Iran's Non-oil Exports Hit $30b In 9 Months

Yasouj, Jan 1, IRNA – Iran's non-oil exports in the last nine months hit $30 billion and the figure is expected to rise to over $50 billion by the end of the current Iranian year on March 20, said the managing director of Exports Development Bank. Talking to IRNA on Monday, Bahman Vakili added that over 56 tons of goods have been exported from the country, registering a 10 percent increase compared to the figure for the corresponding period last year. Stating that the exports has increased six folds compared to the figure for the past five years, he added that most of the non-oil exports in the country pertain to petrochemicals and gas condensates. Cutting dependence on mono-product economy, promoting domestic production and paying serious attention to the private sector are among the ways to do away with the economic sanctions, he said./end
