KUALA LUMPUR, July 18 (Bernama) -- Outsourcing Malaysia is partnering the International Association of outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) to bring the International Asia-Pacific Outsourcing Summit (APOS) to the Asia-Pacific region over the next five years. In this regard, Iskandar Malaysia (southern economic development region) will host its first ever APOS from Oct 21-24. The APOS in Iskandar will also kick-start the five year partnership between OM and the IAOP. OM Chairman David Wong said in a statement that the theme for the Iskandar conference is, "Creating Sustained Value for Regional Integration". "We truly look forward to bringing the outsourcing industry together in a synergistic platform of sharing and brainstorming to further develop the region's outsourcing industry. The IAOP chief executive officer, Debi Hamill said the Asia Pacific was emerging as a lucrative market for outsourcing, both globally and domestically. "So, staying informed has never been so important. Our partnership with OM is a first for us here in Asean and holds significant importance to our continuous endeavour to build the region's outsourcing industry" he added. The inaugural Iskandar Malaysia APOS is expected to attract over 400 delegates, with 30 per cent of them from around the world. There will be plenary sessions and education tracks focused on trends, disruption and predictions as well as technology innovations, among others.
