Italy To Establish Machinery Production Line

Tehran, Sept 13, IRNA - An Italian company is to establish a plant in Chabahar Free Trade-Industrial Zone (CFTIZ) for manufacturing steel and iron production machineries. Shahrokh Ansari Azarbaijani, the CFTIZ’s deputy head said that the Managing Director of Danieli Company Armando Conzatti visited the zone recently. He said that the CFTIZ provides a golden opportunity for making investments in the sector. “The country’s third petrochemical production and auto-manufacturing hubs as well as a number of steel and mining plants are located in the zone, which prepare the ground for setting up steel and iron production chains,” he said. Ansari noted that CFTIZ is ready to provide investors with favorable facilities. “Danieli ranks among the world’s top three steel companies. We hope their presence in the zone will boost employment and trade, and accelerate its development,” he said. On the sidelines of his visit to the zone’s capacities, Conzatti said Danieli is the world’s biggest steel company and plans to launch a production line in CFTIZ. “Danieli has been involved in steel industry for almost a century,” he said. The Danieli chief noted that his company has cooperated with Iran in producing and designing machineries and equipments for steel production for 20 years, hoping that their production line will help the zone develop further. Conzatti said Danieli company is optimistic about the future of Iran’s steel sector, adding that the country should make maximum use of its potentials and capacities./end
