Jakarta Composite Index Opens Higher

Jakarta, Aug 19 (Antara) - The Jakarta composite index opened 0.29 percent higher at 5,171.55 points here on Tuesday . The 45 most liquid stocks of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI) rose 0.42 percent to the level of 885.09. Meanwhile rupiah in inter-bank transaction in the first minutes of trading gained slightly against the US dollar to reach the level of 11,680 per US dollar from earlier level of 11,686 per dollar.
