Jakarta Index Rises To Follow Rupiah Gain

Jakarta, March 19 (Antara) - The Jakarta composite share price index rose to follow gain recorded by rupiah on Tuesday morning opening trade of the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI). The BEI index posted an increase of 12.77 points or 0.27 percent to 4,815.59 with rupiah regaining some of its value lost earlier. The Indonesian currency traded at 9,704 to the US dollar in inter-bank transactions strengthening slightly from the level of 9,705 earlier.
