Japan Aug. Services Producer Prices Up 3.5 Pct

Tokyo, Sept. 25 (Jiji Press)--Japan's services producer price index in August rose 3.5 pct from a year earlier, the Bank of Japan said Thursday. The index, previously called the corporate services price index, stood at 102.3, against 100 for the base year of 2010. In July, the index was up a revised 3.4 pct. Month on month, the index was down 0.2 pct in August after staying flat in the previous month, the BOJ said. END
