Junta:Thailand welcomes int'l investment

BANGKOK, July 2 (TNA) - Thailand's army-led National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) confirms that international investors are welcome to the Thai economy. Thai Army and NCPO Chief General Prayuth Chan O-cha reiterated the junta's stance on Wednesday afternoon, when he met a delegation of South Korean business operators at the Royal Thai Army Headquarters in Bangkok. The NCPO chief explained to the South Korean business delegation that the junta needed to take control of the national administrative power on May 22, 2014, as the previous elected government could not fully function. The NCPO chief noted that Thai troops' joining in the Korean War in the past and a monument of South Korean veteran soldiers in Chon Buri Province in the Thai East represent sound relations between Bangkok and Seoul. The NCPO chief also praised South Korea's prosperity in various areas. (TNA)
