Kabul Calls For Fostering Economic, Trade Ties With Tehran

Tehran, Feb 11, IRNA - Afghan Ambassador to Tehran Nasir Ahmad Noor expressed hope that Iran-Afghanistan cooperation would be bolstered in various economic and trade fields. The Afghan envoy made the remarks while visiting Persian Gulf mineral and metal industries special zone in Bandar Abbas, Hormuzgan province, on Monday. In a meeting with Managing Director of the Persian Gulf mineral and metal industries special zone Masoud Hendian, the Afghan envoy reviewed avenues for fostering ties in production of steal and aluminum and providing mineral raw material for the Afghan side. Afghanistan is currently going through reconstruction process, he said, adding that his country can meet its needs to steel and aluminum through this Iranian special zone. Ahmad Noor said Afghanistan enjoys rich natural and mineral resources and is considered as an untapped market for Iranian investors./end
