KLIHF To Be Held In London Next Year

KUALA LUMPUR, May 29 (Bernama) -- The Kuala Lumpur International Hijab Fair (KLIHF), a platform for women entrepreneurs to expand the Muslim fashion market will be held in the United Kingdom and other European countries starting next year. KLIHF managing director Mona Din (centre) said that the target was possible following the success of the inaugural exhibition held here last year and with the overwhelming response to the second edition of KLIHF in Brunei. "KLIHF was first held in June last year, this year it has grown wider, and for the first time, it was held at the International Convention Centre (ICC) in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei from May 8 to 10. "The KLIHF in Brunei had indeed achieved unexpected success as it lured about 35,000 visitors and recorded sales of US$2.38 million (RM8.7 million)," she said at the launch of KLIHF 2015 by Women, Family and Community Development Minister Rohani Abdul Karim (left) at Putra World Trade Centre here Thursday. With the concept of 'Business to Business' and 'Business to Consumer', the KLIHF 2015 is a joint effort by four major Muslim fashion industry players, namely Woj Wealth Sdn Bhd, Hajaba, Nainikifli and Najjah, with US$2.74 million (RM10 million) target sales.
