KTMB Launches JB Sentral-Woodlands Shuttle Service

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 (Bernama) -- The main rail operator in Peninsular Malaysia, Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) on Wednesday introduced its new shuttle train service from JB Sentral Station in Malaysia's southern state Johor to Woodlands (Singapore). A statement issued by KTMB on Wednesday stated that the service, known as 'Shuttle Tebrau', would take only five minutes to get to the respective destinations. The operating hours of Shuttle Tebrau starts as early as 5.30 am (from JB Sentral) and ends at 11.00 pm (from Woodlands) and each trip would be able to accommodate about 320 passengers. The ticket fare is US$1.32 (RM5) for each trip from JB Sentral Station to Woodlands and SGD5 from Woodlands JB Sentral Station. With the introduction of this shuttle service, all KTM's intercity trains to the southern sector will depart and end at JB Sentral Station, the statement said.
