Kuwaitis Keen On Iranian Handicrafts

Tehran, April 19, IRNA - Iran intends to increase handicraft exports to Kuwait, said deputy head of the Cultural Heritage, Handicrafts and Tourism Organization. Speaking during a recent meeting with Iran’s new envoy to Kuwait, Bahman Namvar-Motlaq added that Kuwait can be a new destination for Iranian handicrafts. Planning and promoting cultural activities, particularly handicrafts and traditional arts, in Kuwait can create a new economic hub and pave way for other cultural activities, he stated. The official said: ˈWe will send a team for studying the Kuwaiti market for handicrafts. We hope we can have a foothold in Kuwaiti handicraft market by making precise plans.ˈ Iranˈs Envoy to Kuwait Alireza Enayati, for his part, pointed to the special status of the countryˈs handicrafts worldwide, calling for using all capacities to promote the handicrafts.
