Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur Launches RM3.3 Mln Aventador S

SHAH ALAM, Feb 22 (Bernama) -- JH Italia Sdn Bhd, also known as Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur, the sole Lamborghini sales, service and spare parts centre in Malaysia, has launched the RM3.3 million Lamborghini Aventador S. Its Chief Operating Officer, Marcus Chye, said the latest installment of the iconic super car was expected to be well-received by the public. "We already have five bookings for the new Aventador S and the target market for the model is existing Lamborghini owners who want an upgrade and people wanting to come into the V12 segment. "The Aventador S is the only V12 mid-engine production passenger car. It has a refined look compared to its predecessor, the Aventador, launched in 2011," he told reporters at the exclusive unveiling event here Wednesday. He said Aventador's on the road price is RM3.3 million (about US$740,000), without insurance and road tax and the waiting period is between six to 12 months, depending on the production factory in Italy. Chye said last year, Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur sold 20 super cars including Aventador and Huracan while the Lamborghini sport utility vehicle would be showcased next year. "There are about 60 Lamborghinis in Malaysia and 50 of them were sold by Lamborghini Kuala Lumpur," he said. The new Aventador S features a number of exterior developments in the front and rear and incorporated the four-wheel drive, new active suspension, new four-wheel steering system and the new EGO driving mode. The model, harnessing a 740 horsepower, can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometres per hour (km/h) in 2.9 seconds with a top speed of 350 km/h. -- BERNAMA
