Last auction held in Bangkok for seized vehicles in 2016 fiscal year

BANGKOK, August 23 (TNA) - Thailand's Customs Department has organised its latest auction of 343 impounded vehicles, the last time for the present 2016 fiscal year that ends on September 30, 2016, expected to earn the government over 500 million baht. The auction took place on Tuesday at the Customs Department in Bangkok's Klong Toei area, during which luxurious vehicles such as Rolls Royce, Maybach, Bently, Porsche, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar and other popular brands from Europe and Japan, along with big bikes were displayed and offered. The department's director-general, Kulis Sombatsiri, told journalists that the most expensive car put up for Tuesday's auction was the Rolls Royce, Phantom Black Edition 2006, with its starting price of 10.75 million baht, while the starting price of the most expensive seized motorcycle, Harley Davidson, was 560,000 baht.
