Leading Malaysian-Thai firms agree on tourism cooperation

BANGKOK, June 28 (TNA) - Malaysia's Mayflower Group and Thailand’s Sahapat Group will sign an agreement on comprehensive tourism cooperation in Bangkok later this week. Boonsithi Chokwatana, Chairman of Bangkok-based Sahapat Group, told journalists on Tuesday that the agreement will be signed on July 1 during the 20th SAHA Group Fair, set to be held at the Queen Sirikit Convention Centre in the Thai capital during June 30–July 3. Under the agreement, Boonsithi said, both sides will jointly invest in providing comprehensive tourism services, namely booking airline tickets and premium-level accommodations, providing guides for tourists visiting Thailand and overseas and organising goods exhibitions. Mayflower Group is a leading Malaysian tourism firm that has branches in several countries presently. (TNA)
