Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee Discusses Bill on Non-Qatari Ownership of Properties

Doha, May 31 (QNA) - The Advisory Council's Legal and Legislative Affairs Committee held on Thursday a meeting as part of the council's 46th regular session under the chairmanship of its rapporteur Nasser bin Rashid Saria Al Kaabi. During the meeting, the committee discussed a draft law on the regulation of non-Qataris' ownership of properties and benefiting from them. HE Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Dr. Hassan bin Lahdan Al Mohannadi, attended the meeting along with HE Minister of Municipality and Environment Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi. The two ministers explained the government's viewpoint on the aforementioned bill and answered the queries of the committee members. The committee decided to continue to review the draft law in its next meeting. (QNA)
