Lufthansa To Offer Premium Economy Seats On KL-Frankfurt Sector

KUALA LUMPUR, May 28 (Bernama) -- German airline, Lufthansa, will offer premium economy seats on flights between Kuala Lumpur and Frankfurt starting May 29 until June 24. The tickets will be valid for the travel period beginning Friday until Dec 15, 2015, said a statement from Lufthansa. The seats are available on airline's Airbus A340-300 from US$1,097 (RM3,999) inclusive of the Goods and Services tax. "It is to further strengthen Lufthansa's position in the competitive international environment," said Lufthansa Malaysia General Manager Paurus Nekoo in a statement Thursday. It added travellers in the premium economy class can check in two bags, free of charge, each weighing up to 23kg, as well as, enjoy the Lufthansa business lounges for a nominal fee of 25 euros. "The seat offers a 38-inch seat pitch, offering passengers on this travel class 50 per cent more room compared to the economy class," the statement added. Lufthansa is the largest airline in Europe, both in terms of overall passengers carried and fleet size. -- BERNAMA
