Lukoil, Gazprom Neft will continue to invest in Iraq, Rosneft also has such plans

KUWAIT, February 14. /TASS/. Russian oil companies Lukoil and Gazprom Neft will continue to invest in the Iraqi economy via their projects, Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich told reporters on Wednesday. Dvorkovich is representing Russia at a conference on the reconstruction of Iraq in Kuwait. "Our oil companies are main participants in investments, they will continue to carry out their projects (in Iraq). We are talking about Lukoil and Gazprom Neft, which are already making large investments," he said. "Rosneft also has plans it is going to discuss with the government of Iraq," he added. According to Dvorkovich, Russia will also consider participation in the reconstruction of Iraq's social infrastructure. Read more
