Maekyung Thailand Forum held in Bangkok

BANGKOK, May 15 (TNA) -- Maekyung Thailand Forum is being held in Bangkok between Wednesday and Thursday to marks the 60th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Thailand and South Korea.

Leading Korean media firm Maekyung Media Group who has organized Global Forum in major cities will organize the first Thailand Forum this year in cooperation with Thailand’s Board of Investment (BoI).

South Korea’s Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Paik Ungyu would lead a large delegation South Koran officials, business leaders and investors to attend the Forum.

BoI officials say the Forum was aimed to strengthen cooperation and also to commemorate 60 years of friendship.

Thailand and South Korea planned to sign an agreement for investment promotion in bio-technology industry, officials said.

The Forum also features seminars, business-matching and investment promotion activities, according to the BOI. Business roundtables at Maekyung Thailand Forum will focus on such themes of ASEAN Connectivity and Thailand 4.0 and Korea-Thai Cooperation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Thailand looked to invited South Korea to invest in the Eastern Economic Corridor project which focused on innovative and digital industries, said BoI. (TNA)
