Malaysia's Aerospace Blueprint A Comprehensive Great Vision

SERDANG (Selangor, Malaysia), Sept 3 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian Aerospace Industry Blueprint 2015-2030 is a comprehensive great vision, said Rolls-Royce Group Director of Research and Technology, Prof Richard Parker. Parker said the blueprint included aircraft maintenance, design and all the related systems. "I commend this document (blueprint) and the plan for a Malaysia Air Space City here. I am pleased to be part of it at its early stage. I hope I will be around to watch it grow," he said. Parker said this in his public lecture, 'Clean Sky, Green Sky -- Innovation in Technology to Improve Our Environment at the CEO@UPM Faculty Programme 2015 at University Putra Malaysia's Engineering Faculty here Thursday. Parker said he looked forward to more ways to collaborate with Malaysia. In March this year, Prime Minister Najib Razak launched the blueprint during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition. Meanwhile, Malaysia's Minister of Higher Education, Idris Jusoh, who was also present, said the 'faculty programme' was part of the National Education Development Plan where industry experts would give lectures at the university. "The move will have a positive impact on employment and will expose the students to the true picture of the industry," he said. -- BERNAMA
