Malaysia's Petronas Ties Up With Maruti Suzuki To Supply Lubricants In India

NEW DELHI (India), Oct 2 (Bernama) -- Petronas has tied up with India's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India Ltd to supply customised lubricants for diesel vehicles, the Press Trust of India reported. Through this partnership, the Malaysia-based lubricants maker would gain access to Maruti Suzuki's entire sales and service network besides also supplying its products to the bazaar trade, the report quoted a press release issued on Tuesday. The tie-up would also give Petronas a huge reach since Maruti Suzuki has the largest network in the country with a total of more than 3,100 service outlets across India. Petronas' customised lubricant, MGDO 5W40, is formulated for the latest generation of diesel engines and is especially designed for full service life in extended drain conditions, the release said, according to the report. According to the company, the lubricant minimises not only oil thickening at very high operating temperatures but also and wear and tear, which prolongs engine life, as well as optimises the engine's performance besides minimising friction, it added. --BERNAMA
