Markazi Province most successful in attracting foreign investment

Saveh, Markazi Prov., Nov 16, IRNA – Deputy Economic Affairs and Finance Minister Mohamamd Khazaei here on Sunday said Markazi (Central) Province is the most successful province of the country in attracting foreign investment in the industry sector. Speaking in a local meeting here, Khazaei said such an achievement has been gained through constant efforts of the officials and utilizing investment capacities in the province. Stressing that the country aims to attract foreign investment, Khazaei noted that in order to save the country from dependence on oil further efforts should be made in this regard. Khazaei underlined the need for change in the attitude and interaction of tax organizations towards directors and investors and said tax managers should offer the required assistance to the investors within the framework of regulations. He further remarked that red carpet should be spread before domestic investors prior to foreign investors adding that it should not be forgotten that economic prosperity is indebted to promotion of quality of domestic products as it will guarantee economic security and tranquility of the public. Khazaei said economic development is a source of pride for the country and noted that this power is the main reason that forced the US and G5+1 to enter into negotiations with the Islamic Republic. Also speaking at the meeting Governor General of Markazi Province Mohamamd Hossein Moqimi said Kaveh Industrial Township as the industrial hub in the country possesses 450 active industrial units 70% of which are active under difficult circumstances. Meanwhile, industrialists and owners of production units referred to banking impediments, redundant regulations, lack of exclusive storage houses in the area of customs and high costs as their most important problems./end
