MCOT to promote Thailand as world hub of documentaries

BANGKOK, October 31 (TNA) - MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), a most established Thai media firm, has agreed to join forces with Panaroma Worldwide Co.,Ltd, one of its business allies, to promote the Thai Kingdom as a regional and global business hub of documentaries. MCOT and Panorama Worldwide Co.,Ltd. jointly organised the Asian Side of the Doc Bangkok event in the capital on Monday, as part of the plan to promote Thailand as a regional and global business hub of documentaries. The event, in which over 40 producers, sellers and investors, both Thai and foreign ones, participated, became the first market in Thailand for a complete trading of documentaries in line with the government's Thailand's 4.0 policy. The participants could also have the One on One Meeting-style trading, during which international visitors also had a chance to experience Virtual Reality (VR) documentaries. MCOT Vice President for Marketing and Media Management Sunthorn Areerak expressed his hope that the event could also pave the way for Thailand's further development of the documentary production to meet world standards and to turn the Kingdom to be a regional and a global hub for documentary trading in the future.
