MINING SECTOR’S FOREIGN RELATIONS IN MAY

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ According to the May's "Transparent Mining" media release, certain achievements were gained in the foreign relations this month, for example the Minister of Mining R.Jigjid received the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar U Wunna Maung Lwin to discuss a collaboration in proper utilization of natural resources, as both countries are rich in such resources. The Myanmar’s FM proposed studying our practices in improving a legal environment for mining. The Minister Jigjid also held a meeting with the Ambassador of S.Korea to Mongolia Oh Song to exchange views on cooperating in mining rehabilitation and utilization of methane gas, also received representatives of Air Liquid, AREVA and of "Dream Diam" company from Israel, in frames of a vision to attract foreign investments to our mining sector and to seek cooperation. Besides it, the Vice Minister of Mining G.Temuulen received a delegation from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA).
