Minister: Iran-Kazakhstan economic exchanges can double

Tehran, May 19, IRNA – Trade relations between Iran and Kazakhstan can be doubled, Iran's minister of industry, mine and trade said on Saturday. Speaking on the sidelines of Astana Economic Forum, Mohammad Shariatmadari said that the rise in Iran-Kazakhstan trade will rest upon full implementation of the two consular and banking agreements between the two countries and the beginning of brokerage relations with euro between the banks of Iran and Kazakhstan. Noting that Kazakhstan is a very good market for exports of commodities and technical and engineering services, the minister said that there are good capacities in the area of road, rail and air transit between the two countries. Iran also signed an agreement on preferential trade with the Eurasian Economic Union on the sidelines of Astana Economic Forum. 1378/IRNA
