Minister to patronise Bahrain-India Week2017

Manama, Apr. 5 (BNA): The potential for enhanced economic relations between Bahrain and India will be the focus of a high-powered forum. The event will begin on April 6 under the patronage of Industry, Commerce and Tourism Minister Zayed Al-Zayani. The event is jointly organized by the Promotion, Exhibitions and Conferences sector committee of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) headed by board member Ahlam Janahi and the Bahrain Asian Traders Committee (BATC). The forum will feature speakers from ‘promising sectors in both countries such as the real-estate development, I.T., infrastructure industry, health care, and financial services. Janahi said "BCCI is committed to helping the private sector to diversify and grow through fruitful exchange of news and ideas with counterparts around the world, and with India being a powerful catalyst for global growth, the time is right to look at India for development support and for Indian companies to consider Bahrain as a hub for its GCC and MENA expansion." Manoj Bhatia , the Deputy Chairman of BATC said: "We are very keen on the potentials of the subcontinent which should be kept in the spotlight for Bahraini businessmen, and added "We welcome participation and urge the business community to come and see how they can work with these two countries and maximise their advantages." The event will host key speakers from the Economic Development Board; BCCI; Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Bahrain Tourism and Exhibition Authority. And from the Indian side from the Ministry of External Affairs alongside top executives and business owners. It is worth mentioning that supporters and strategic partners from Bahrain are the Ministry of Industry, Commerce, and Tourism; the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; the Economic Development Board; Tamkeen; KPMG; and the Bahraini embassy in New Delhi. And from the Indian side the Ministry of External Affairs; the Indian embassy in Bahrain; and the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
