MONGOLIA PROJECTS AND INVESTMENT SUMMIT BEGINS IN HONG KONG

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ The fifth annual Mongolia Investment Summit began November 18 its 2014 session at Sheraton hotel in Hong Kong. This is the forum that contributes in assessing the current and future investment environment and conditions for Mongolia-directed activities constructively, productively and in the context of the contemporary challenges such as a necessity to optimize the foreign investment and discussions on government. The participants to the two-day summit are analyzing Mongolia’s macroeconomics, financial sector and investment environment and discussing the approaches to revive confidences of investors to Mongolia and activating the economy. During the Summit, the opening of the Mongolian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong is to run. Founders of the Chamber are the members of a Mongolian club, which has been actively operating in Hong Kong for two years. The Chamber will aim at promoting businesses and investments between Mongolia and Hong Kong as well within the region. It was registered in Hong Kong last May 1. The attendees are the president of the Bank of Mongolia N.Zoljargal, a former vice minister of Economic development O.Chuluunbat, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to China Ts.Sukhbaatar, a director of Department for Investments S.Javkhlanbaatar along with other related officials and foreign businessmen and investors who cooperate with Mongolia and seek opportunities to run businesses in Mongolia. Present are also the delegations of Mongolian business sector, namely, Trade and Development Bank, Mongolian Business Council, Erdenes Tavantolgoi LLC and Magnai Trade.
