Moody’s says Thai economy recovers

BANGKOK, Sept 3 (TNA) - Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-ocha is pleased to learn that a major global credit ratings agency, the Moody’s Investors Service has announced that Thailand’s financial situation has strengthened and its economy has started recovering, according to a government spokesman. Lieutenant General Sansern Kaewkamnerd said the prime minister is happy after Moody’s has announced that Thailand’s financial situation has strengthened after external factors have lessened impact while local politics in the past few years have started to cool and its economy has stated recovering on the back of strong export. Lt. Gen. Sansern quoted Gen. Prayut as saying that the sharp improvement is resulted from people cooperation in respecting the country’s law and their cooperation would help in the country’s political stability, strong economy and happy society. However, Gen. Prayut has ordered related government agencies responsible for the country’s economy to improve foreign direct investment, the country’s potential in competition and sluggish people spending as suggested by Moody’s, said Lt.
