More foreign investors join Iran's capital market shareholders

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA -- Chairman of the Central Securities Depository of Iran (CSDI) Hamed Soltaninejad said on Saturday that more foreign investors have joined Iran's capital market shareholders. Soltaninejad said over the past two months, 27 foreign entrepreneurs have joined Iranian capital market after completing legal procedures and receiving their shareholding codes. He said investors from Germany, Britain, Syria, China and Afghanistan entered Iranian market in the Iranian months of Azar and Day, the 9th and 10th months in Iranian calendar. He said that the first code for foreign shareholder in Iranian capital market was given to a Germany company in Aban, the 8th month in Iranian calendar, in the year 1373 (1994). Thus far 313 foreign shareholders have joined the market, he added.
