Motor-car Spare Parts Exports Boost Four-fold In Past Four Months

Tehran, April 21, IRNA -- Export of Iran Khodro Spare Parts and After Sales Services stood at $3.3m since the start of 2013, showing a four-fold boost compared to the figure of the corresponding period last year, ISACO exports director said on Saturday. Behnam Afkham said that the company had received orders worth $6m from foreign customers in the past Iranian year (beginning on March 20, 2013). Some 60 percent of the orders have been delivered to the customers in the past four months and the company is producing spare parts to meet the demands, he said. In addition to an increase in exports, the demands for spare parts from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and the Middle East countries have also surged, Afkham said./end
