MP Calls For Faster Implementation Of Iran-India Joint Projects

Tehran, Oct 21, IRNA – Head of Iran-India Parliamentary Friendship Group Javad Jahangirzadeh called for faster implementation of Iran, India joint projects and agreements in different fields. According to the report of Majlis Media Department, Jahangirzadeh, in a meeting with India’s Ambassador to Tehran Serio Stava here on Saturday, said parliamentary friendship group stands ready to help remove some problems and obstacles in this concern. Expressing pleasure with growing trend of mutual cooperation in different fields, he referred to historical background of friendly relations between the two nations and said that Iran intends to develop cooperation with India and the group is supporting every move in this concern. Head of Iranian side of parliamentary friendship group of Iran- India called role of parliamentary cooperation in expansion of ties very important. He referred to closeness of viewpoints of both countries in regional developments and reminded that Iran-India relations have always been effective in strengthening peace and security in the region. The ambassador, for his part, referred to 20 billion-dollar volume of economic cooperation between Iran and India, adding that Indian economy has great capacity for development and expansion of cooperation with Iran. Serio Stava, by referring to the two thousand years of relations between the two nations and cultural commonalities said that Indian nation viewpoint on ties with Iran is a strategic one and we believe that Iran has a bright and golden future. He added that India believes in continuation of all-out cooperation with Iran and intends to remove problems and obstacles in this concern./end
