MP Hails Gov't, Majlis Performance In Improving Economy

Tehran, Oct 8, IRNA – Head of the Plan and Budget Commission of the Majlis Gholamreza Tajgardoun said performance of the government and Majlis in controlling indicators and improving the economy is praiseworthy, stressing that obstacles should be avoided in this regard. Tajgardoun who was attending a joint session of the Majlis and government pointed to the satisfaction expressed by IMF chief over Iran’s monetary and fiscal discipline which has been realized as a result of government-Majlis cooperation. He said the government saved the country’s economy from a heavy slippage but the problem has not been completely solved. Appreciating the government measure in purchasing agricultural products the parliamentarian said however with regard to the recent drought the government is expected to pay special attention to farmers. He also called on the government to pay attention to the topic of Mehr housing project too and tax and insurance issues of the project./end
