From M.Saraswathi BOAO (Hainan), March 26 (Bernama) -- Prime Minister Najib Razak is scheduled to arrive in Boao, Hainan Province, in China on Friday to participate in the Boao Forum for Asia 2015 (BFA). Najib’s official delegation will include Malaysia's Special Envoy to China Ong Ka Ting, Ministry of Foreign Affairs Deputy Secretary-General for Bilateral Affairs Ramlan Ibrahim and Malaysian Ambassador to China Zainuddin Yahya. BFA has a fixed address in Boao, a town located next to the eastern coastal city of Qionghai in Hainan, China. The four-day BFA, which began Thursday, is themed, "Asia’s Future:Towards a Community of Common Destiny" and is being attended by about 16 foreign leaders, including Najib, who is also Finance Minister. The Malaysian premier is scheduled to deliver a speech at the opening plenary session on Saturday along with other foreign leaders. Chinese President Xi Jinping will deliver a keynote speech at the same session. BFA is the most prestigious and premier forum for leaders in government, businesses and academic in Asia and other continents to share visions on the most pressing issues in this dynamic region and the world at large. It was created in the aftermath of the Asian financial crisis in 1998, when economies in the region felt the need for a region-wide platform to get together and tackle common challenges to avoid being hit by another financial storm or other crisis unprepared and disunited. Win-win and common development have been the guiding principle of the forum since its inception. Each year, BFA brings together more than 2000 government leaders, chief executive officers and economists to explore the most pressing issues in Asia and emerging markets. -- BERNAMA
