New SUV car to enter market soon

Tehran, Dec 4, IRNA – Managing director of a domestic auto manufacturing company said the pilot production of S5 SUV (Sport Utility Vehicle) car has been completed in Iran and it will enter the auto market soon. Mohammad Reza Mir-Alinaqi told reporters that with regard to the long-term cooperation with JAC Motors of China, efforts are being made to increase diversity of products in the market and gain an acceptable share of the market. He said in recent years with regard to the massive welcome accorded by Iranian customers to SUV cars measures will be taken to present new cars to the market and maintain a more effective presence in the market. Stressing that with the entry of the new car competition in Iran’s SUV market will become more attractive, Mir-Alinaqi said the distinctive feature of the new car is its two-liter engine, being equipped with turbo charger, six-speed manual gear box and the front differential transmission system. As for the pricing process of the new car, he said with regard to the plan by Kerman Khodro for the manufacture of the car domestically, efforts will be made to set a reasonable price on it in order to compete with the present rivals in the market. He said one of the obvious characteristics of the new car is that it is equipped with Euro 5 standard and EOBD system at the same time. Among other features of the new car, Mir-Alinaqi referred to its sunroof, air bags for front seat passengers, broadcast of video files with MP5 format, and reverse gear sensor which are normal in the products of this sector of the market. He said with regard to the conditions available in Iran’s market, diversified facilities will be put on the agenda and efforts will be made to cover requests of the customers with whatever financial capability./end
