New Thai PM understands business operators

BANGKOK, August 27 (TNA) - Newly-appointed Thai Prime Minister General Prayuth Chan-ocha, who is also Thai Army and National Council for Peace and Order (NCPO) Chief, says that the NCPO has the same stance with international investors in Thailand and they should not, thus, be worried. General Prayuth made the remarks and assured his support for the private sector during his meeting in Bangkok on Wednesday with Thai and European business operators from the Thai-European Business Association, in response to the delegation's inquiry about Thailand's economic reform plan. General Prayuth suggested the business operators not to be concerned because the NCPO realizes that they emphasize on investment, do not want any political involvement and expect long-term solutions, which are the focus shared by the NCPO. The Thai-European Business Association's delegation is the first group of business operators who has met the newly-appointed Thai prime minister. The new prime minister also took the opportunity to brief the business delegation on Thailand's updated situation. (TNA)
