NIDC Performs 124 Drilling Operations In Oil, Gas Fields

Tehran, Nov 28, IRNA – Deputy Managing Director of National Iranian Drilling Company Mehran Makvandi said on Tuesday that NIDC performed 124 drilling operations in oil and gas fields both onshore and offshore in the past eight months of the year. Makvandi said 82 drilling operatons were carried out in regions where National Iranian South Oil Company is active, 13 ones in Iranian Central Oil Fields Co. zones, 11 ones in Iranian Offshore Oil Company zones, three ones by Iranian Oil Exploration and Producing Co. and 15 drilling operations elsewhere. He said 62 of the drilling operations in the eight-month period were for development of the oil and gas fields and deleneation, 59 for repairing the wells, and three drilling operations aimed at exploration. Makvandi added that the drilling operations make up for 281,132 meters showing 32,335 meters increase compared with the preceding period./end
