Nimrouz Governor General Calls For Boosting Trade With Iran

Chabahar, May 7, IRNA – Governor General of Afghanistanˈs Nimoruz province said on Monday that Afghan officials and businessmen favor promoting commercial exchanges with Iran, especially with Chabahar Port and Sistan Baluchestan province. Mohammad Sorour Sobat accompanied by a number of Afghan businessmen visited Shahid Beheshti Development Project and Chabaharˈs equipment and facilities. Touring Chabahar, he said, ˈIˈve acknowledged to the Afghan investors that the port is competitive for investment and boasts numerous capabilities for trade with other states.ˈ Sobat said that his visit is aimed to follow up implementation of the deals already signed between the two countries. Commenting on the advantages of Chabahar Port, he said that in view of political and cultural commonalities, Afghan officials and businessmen prefer to make optimal use of the portˈs potentials./end
