No plan to move bus terminal

BANGKOK, June 3 (TNA) -- The state-run Transport Company Limited said it would adhere to the current development plan without project to move the Mo Chit 2, the major Bangkok’s bus terminal to other place, according to Jirasak Yaovatsakul, the new president of Transport Co, Ltd. Mr Jirasaik denied public rumours, saying that Mo Chit 2 bus terminal will, however, reduce its area size to 50 rai from the present 70 rai and it hopes to render good services to the public even during important long holidays. Also, the Transport Co, Ltd plans to manage several administrative affairs by itself such as the parking lot and providing security to passengers instead of giving contracts to the private to manage just like the present practice, he said. Currently, senior administrators of the firm are preparing to improve the parking lot at Mo Chit 2 after the leasing contract with the private firm expires. Parking fee will not be collected during the upcoming development until the improvement of the parking lot is complete. (TNA)
