Nok Air recruits more pilots

BANGKOK, February 25 (TNA) - Nok Air, a low-cost subsidiary airline of Thai Airways International (THAI), the national flag carrier, is recruiting more than a dozen pilots. Thai Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittyapaisith told journalists on Thursday he has been informed that Nok Air is recruiting 15 new pilots for its Boeing planes. Arkhom said Nok Air now has about 190 pilots, including those who had earlier resigned but later decided not to quit the job. However, the transport minister acknowledged he has been reported that there will be cancelations of Nok Air flights, 10 flights daily on average, until March 10, 2016 pending a solution to its internal issues. According to the transport minister, Nok Air is legally required to report its flight cancelations to the Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) on the daily basis. (TNA)
