Non-oil exports amounted to $41.628bn, imports stand at $50.818 billion last year

Tehran, April 6, IRNA – Iranian non-oil exports amounted to $41.628 billion last year (March 2013-March 2014) including gas condensates, Iran’s Customs Administration Office said on Saturday. It said that carry-on luggage imports stood at $50.818 billion. The office said Iran’s non-oil exports rose by 0.43 percent in the ending months of last year. It said 92.927 million tons of non-oil commodities, up 16.79 percent, were exported last year. It added that imports of 33.568 million worth commodities cost the country $50.818 billion last year, down 14.98 percent in value. According to the customs office, the exports included liquid propane, tar, and methanol, mainly destined to China, Iraq, the UAE, India, and Afghanistan. The imports, including vehicles, rice, cattle maize and wheat, were from the UAE, China, India, Korea, and Turkey.
